An Evening with Judy Collins

As some of you know, I have been selected to join the Equine Advocates Annual Gala Committee. The gala is in its 22nd year. This organization has special meaning to me because of my life long involvement with horses.  Having friends like you participate in this celebration would add a special and meaningful touch to the night and for me personally.

An Evening with Judy Collins will be held on Saturday, September 9th at the amazing 300 seat open air theater at PS21 Performance Spaces for the 21st Century in Chatham, NY. The evening will start with outdoor cocktails on the 140 acre Equine Advocates Rescue & Sanctuary which is convienently located 1 mile from the outdoor amphitheater. Annually, this Gala has attracted those who support the goals of Equine Advocats. The organization's mission is to prevent the abuse and slaughter of equines through education, investigation, rescue operations, the dissemination of information to the public and the operation of a horse sanctuary for slaughter-bound, abused and neglected horses.

For those of you who don't know, my father was a breeder and trainer of Standardbred race horses. From a young age I was taught the value of the horse as an athlete and friend; never a commodity to be dumped and abused. Equine Advocates shares that view and values each animal as an individual. Equine Advocates is a 501(c)3) organization with the highest rating from Chairty Navigator

Some of you have already contributed, and for that I am grateful.

I am writing to ask for your consideration and support in order for them to continue in their rescue endeavors. Options include sponsorship, live auction donations, attendance or the 100% tax deductible underwriting donation.  I personally would welcome your attendance at what no doubt will be a fun-filled and entertaining evening.

Please know that regardless of how you choose to commemorate the evening, your contribution will provide essential help to Equine Advocates so that it can meet the needs of the equine community. I deeply appreciate your anticipated support in making this event a success.
