Executive Vice President and Partner Tammy Smith Gives Back through Appointment to Equine Advocates Gala Committee
Smith Joins Forces with Equine Advocates as Gala Committee Member.
Tammy Smith, Executive Vice President and Partner of The Alban Group, has been added to the roster of animal lovers with her appointment to Equine Advocates Gala Committee. Smith, animal lover and long time horse owner is looking forward to working with the Committee to raise funds for the care of 80 rescued ponies, horses, donkeys and mules.
Smith, who leads The Alban Group, firmly believes in being the best version of yourself. This idea permeates all aspects of her life, both personally and professionally. In construction, she makes sure each project reflects the best possible craftsmanship each team is capable of. Personally, she wants each horse to have the best life available to them.
"Equine Advocates represents a way for me to contribute to an animal's happiness and well-being," says Smith. "If you don't have the land to save them yourself," Smith continued, "Contributing to an organization like this is as close as you can get."
The mission of Equine Advocates is to rescue, protect and prevent the abuse of equines through education, investigation, rescue operations, the dissemination of information to the public and the operation of a horse sanctuary for slaughter-bound, abused and neglected horses.
Equine Advocates was founded in 1996. In 2004, they opened a 140 acre sanctuary in upstate New York. Currently the sanctuary is home to 80+ rescued horses, ponies, donkeys, and mules plus two Nigerian Dwarf goats.
Smith is working with a panel of esteemed animal lovers to organize the 2023 Gala which will be held at both Equine Advocates Rescue & Sanctuary followed up by a headline performance at PS21: Performance Spaces for the 21st Century.
